Postgrad Futures Event

Please see below for initial details of this year’s one-day careers event, which will place on Tuesday 21st June in the Lady Hale Building. This year we have renamed PhD Futures to Postgraduates Futures and thus the event is open to all our postgraduate researchers and taught students.

Spotlight on… Career Management in the Digital Age



This year’s PhD Futures has been renamed Postgraduate Futures. It is open to all University of Salford Postgraduates (Research and Taught). We hope to provide a stimulating and thought-provoking day to enable you to make informed career choices in your studies/research, or to help you get the job that you want!

By the end of the day, participants will be equipped with an understanding of how developments in digital technologies are transforming careers, enhancing opportunities, and leading the way in recruitment practices.

So don’t leave your future career planning to chance, come along to find out more, including:

• Strategies for career success in the digital age

• Panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities

• How to broaden your (career) Horizons

• Using technologies to enhance your research and teaching

• What employers want from Postgraduates

• Networking opportunities inc. Enterprise Café

• Creative Job Search using social media

• A *Pecha Kutcha Competition
